WHERE NATURE MEETS HISTORY

Whether you're a nature lover, an outdoor adventurer, a museum visitor or a shop browser, Arrowtown will WOW you.

It's peaceful and charming and full of surprises. Take a scenic leisurely walk, or hire a bike, play some golf, try your luck at gold panning (there is still lots of gold in the Arrow River), visit nearby wineries, take an historic guided or self-walking tour around the village, have a swim in the crystal clear swimming holes along the Arrow River or in Lake Hayes, book a 4x4 excursion with thrilling river crossings and steep gorges, nurture your creative side at art galleries and quirky bespoke shops, take in a movie at the cutest-ever cinema, eat, shop or just sit still beside the river with a picnic and listen to the birds.

For the more adventurous, try heli-skiing, heli-biking, a hot air balloon trip, white-water rafting, kayaking, bungy jumping, ice-skating, horse-riding, Craft Beer and Distillery Tours .... and the list goes on. Queenstown is so close and most tour companies operating from Queenstown will happily fetch you from the motel or arrange to meet you on route.
