25 - 4 MARCH 2017

SOLD OUT! It will be hosted by the wider Southern Lakes District with activities being focused around the adventure capital of the world, Queenstown. GODZOne is the ultimate expedition adventure racing experience. The event format is the same used at the 5 previous Chapters of GODZone – with unsupported teams travelling approximately 500km across New Zealand’s wilderness for up to seven days. GZ Pure represents the most technically challenging adventure race in the world.The GZ Pursuit event takes the existing GODZone concept and makes some subtle changes that creates an exciting new racing experience and opens the door to a wider range of expedition adventure racers.Entries open on the 1st July, 2016 and the field is expected to sell out within 24 hours.

Each year for one day only the pristine trails of the Motatapu welcomes thousands of all-comers to experience one of New Zealand’s favourite off-road sporting events.

Set in the stunning Wanaka to Queenstown high country, you'll race through some of the most stunning high country terrain in New Zealand, with five different events to choose from depending on your appetite for scenery or suffering!

It’s a bucket-list off-road event for everyone from elite athletes to have-a-crack characters. A hugely enjoyable and social event, famous for its relaxed southern vibe.

Your chance - for one day only - to experience the legend that is the Motatapu.

ISPS Handa New Zealand Open

09 - 12 MARCH 2017

The ISPS Handa New Zealand Open is a cornerstone event on the PGA Tour of Australasia and has now also entered into a partnership with the Japan Golf Tour Organisation which will result in fifteen leading professional golfers from the Japan tour playing in the tournament.

The tournament will include a minimum field of 140 amateurs and 140 professionals playing alongside one another.  The professional golfers will compete for the ISPS Handa New Zealand Open title whilst simultaneously a pairing of one professional and one amateur will play a best-ball format for the New Zealand Pro-Am Championship. 

The field will be split across Millbrook Resort and The Hills for the first round of competition with all players alternating to the other course for the second round.  

After the second round the top 60 + ties professionals will continue to the final two rounds of the tournament to be played at Millbrook Resort.

For the Pro-Am teams, the top 40 pairings will progress to compete in round three at Millbrook Resort, before a third round cut will see the top 10 Pro-Am teams progress to the final round at Millbrook Resort. 




17 - 18 MARCH 2017

Queenstown’s stunning scenery, accommodation and local produce will be on show at Iron Run 2017, a two-day festival bringing together Harley-Davidson owners and motorcycle enthusiasts from all over New Zealand.

The event will start  on Thursday 16th March with limited edition patches being given out at Bluff. Friday 17th March will have two hosted Guided Rides to the spectacular surrounding towns.

Friday night will be all things Green, with a St Patrick’s Day themed party at Queenstown’s Ice Arena.

Saturday 18th March will have us riding to Arrowtown in the Thunder Run and a Show and Shine back at Queenstown at the Village Green Saturday afternoon.

Highlands Festival of Speed

8-9 APRIL 2017

TWO days of spectacular classic racing, some of the best to be seen in New Zealand - 8th and 9th April 2017.

The Highlands Festival of Speed is a weekend packed with some of the best modern classic racing you will see in New Zealand. Featuring the Pre 65 Racing, Mainland Muscle and more classic categories. This is a weekend of true blue Kiwi racing starring some of New Zealand's most well known racing legends.

This will be the fourth Festival of Speed at Highlands, with a big field of brilliant Pre 65 Racing, Mainland Muscle plus modern and nostalgic classics, there is racing action to please everyone.

Add in great kids’ activities, fantastic food and refreshment stalls, free grid walks and you’ve got one spectacular weekend of entertainment at Highlands, which is great value for the whole family!

2017 Queenstown 4BBB Mixed Golf Tournament

18 - 20 APRIL 2017

Queenstown is the golfing mecca of New Zealand! 

PaR nz Golfing Holidays and the host venues of Millbrook Resort and Jacks Point, welcome players to enter the inaugural Queenstown 4BBB Autumn Mixed Tournament, supported by our long time partner, TaylorMade-Adidas, the renowned brand of BOSCH Home Appliances and award winning AKARUA Wines. 

The 2017 Queenstown 4BBB Autumn Mixed Tournament is specifically timed just prior to the 2017 Arrowtown Festival (20-25 April) and the 2017 World Masters Games that is being hosted by Auckland City. The tournament is a two day event played over 36 holes – 18 holes on the fabulous and scenic Jacks Point Golf Course, with the final 18 holes played at the 5-star Millbrook Resort. 

Players are invited to make up their own pairs – either men, women or mixed teams – or players can be teamed with others, who are also seeking partners. Golfers of all ages and handicaps are welcome. We invite golfers from around New Zealand as well as international golfers to join us. Pairs will compete in a 4BBB format over 36 holes: the two competitors play as partners, each playing their own ball. The lowest NETT score of the partners is the score for the hole. 

Prizes & trophies will be awarded for overall 36-hole winners, along with daily 18-hole winners, by division, proportional to the number of competitors in each division.  An additional, special ‘Gamesmanship’ Award will be awarded, along with fun prizes and awards for the best-dressed pair!  



Akarua Arrowtown Autumn Festival

The Akarua Arrowtown Autumn Festival is a celebration of Autumn for our community. It hosts a variety of events aimed at all ages with our most well know event being the Market Day and Parade on Saturday 22nd April 2017.



Audi quattro Winter Games NZ 2017


The fifth Audi quattro Winter Games NZ take place in New Zealand’s Southern Alps from 25 August to 10 September 2017.
